HTC is planning to launch two new phones in the Middle East – the HTC Touch 3G and HTC Touch HD. These phones will be officially presented at GITEX 2008, tha largest technology conference of the Middle East, they will be demonstrated at F9-1B in Sheikh Rashid Hall in Dubai.
“GITEX, being one of the region’s most important industry events, serves as a critical component of our overall marketing strategy in the UAE and the rest of the region. Accordingly, we have prepared a bigger and much more sophisticated exhibition featuring a powerful line-up of HTC products and a unique opportunity for customers to enjoy HTC ’s high-end mobile experience,” sais CEO of HTC Chen.
True mobile broadband experience HTC Touch HD gives the user allows him to browse the net faster and easier. With both devices buyers can search for and watch streaming video from YouTube and stay updated on the latest news with the integrated powerful RSS reader. This provides a comparable Internet experience to that of home broadband in terms of both speed and comfort.
Latest rumors: HTC Touch HD (codename BLAC100 or Blackstone) will firstly appear in Europe. Still, phone does not support AT&T's 3G, but the rumor is, new BLAC200 will have support for these frequences.

Guys from The Register have posted a comprehensive 4-page review of HTC Touch Pro on their website. Phone earned 90% score and was especially praised for its keyboard and excellent touchscreen.

Overall impression is very, very good, notwithstanding the fact that such positive reviews of WM-based phones are rare cases.

Finally, we can tell you real prices of latest HTC devices, including HTC Touch HD. HTC Touch Viva will be £209.99, but may not make it to UK stores, HTC Touch 3G will cost £349.99/£319.99 (with/without GPS maps), and most important of all - HTC Touch HD will be £514.99 (buy-and-go price without contract).
If you want to know how much HTC Touch HD will cost when provided by operator with contract, we can give you approximate numbers: with startup contracts it will be around £414.99 and with medium-priced contracts - £250.99.

This week is rich on previews. Guys from generation-fonehouse have recorded a very interesting video-preview of HTC Touch HD. A must-see!
Conclusions: HTC HD has larger screen, it's easy to use HD's keyboard, and once again, Opera browser, integrated into HTC Touch HD rocks!

Folks from geekinc.fr somehow got their hands on the HTC Touch HD and wrote a preview, where thay compared HTC HD to Apple iPhone 3G.

Summary: HTC HD feels better in the hand, has larger display, makes great 5-mp photos and is, in fact, much better than iPhone.
