Had one for a week, sending it back with regrets. Its a lovely piece of kit but couldnt get it to hold settings for UK T-Mobile or email accounts.
Managed to get google domain sending and receiving for half a day, then it lost the settings and connection. Similar probs with web browsing, would read google home page or on line email.
Reset it dozens of times, reset to factory defaults 8 times. Glitchy as hell which may just be my early release handset. GPS fine as is phone, Touch Flo and the great screen which is very special - except that the touch sensitivity around the edges isn't perfect... which doesnt help when the x to close programmes is top right and over an insensitive bit. A lot of the features are superb but all the gloss in the world is wasted if it doesn't do the basics.
Could be T-Mobile is a part of the problem. It's going back tomorrow and I'm heartbroken. Iphone probably as new software coming out for it. Loved the fm radio!

Well I have mine working with TMobile-UK, not a single problem with email or internet.
Maybe the one you had was faulty as I have had no problems at all with mine on tmobile, I stuck my sim in and it just set everything up perfectly.
hsdpa is working fine as well.
The only issue I have is that not all apps change to landscape when you rotate the phone.

if you want your htc to auto rotate you'll have to get 3rd party apps, such as GSEN or gyrator. they work a real treat!
they are also custimisable!

Use Bluesoleil bluetooth drivers. You can sync messages and contacts with it. Thats what I do.

I am thinking of getting an HTC touch HD as it seems to be the best handset on the market right now. before i tie myself to a long contract, i was wondering if any of you are totally happy with the handset and was wondering what the pros and cons where? i know the display on the HD is probably the best, but what about games, internet, camera etc...

I have just one problem that i dont know how so solve so i would be very happy if you could assist me with it.
I have adjusted my PDA to respond to soft tappings/presses and i dont konw how to get it back to respond only to a strong tapping/presses.

Hi,
I am using HTC Touch HD mobile since last 2 months. I am facing problem with call receiving. When somebody calls me, it takes approx 5 seconds to start ringing / vibrating. Due to this it is very difficult to me to understand if anybody give me Miss call.
I think may be RAM is overloaded. But RAM is having enough free memory.
Can anybody advise something

Hello folks.
I purchased my HD from ebay. Very happy with it, as the screen is a lrge size it suits my vision.
Anyone out there have the tomtom 7 SD? The sd is 2GB but I hav purchased an 8GB. If I try to put the tomtom faces file it states that the sd with not support the file. My compuer is NTFS but the sd states it is 32 fat. can the sd be re-formatted? or can I only use a totmtom 7 sd. I am installing from a download

The delay is probably due to your settings Start>settings>phone>ring type.
You can change settings with your provider. Start>settings>phone>services. check all setting and amend to suit. you can tell the provider to delay an answer for so many rings (10)? then it goes to to answerphone.

Tomtom state Navigator 7 is the satnav system they recommend for our phone. However I am sure that 6.5 can be installed ok. But please note that 6.5 is 4 years old on maps and they state that those maps it will not be updated.

Start>settings>connections.
Select and hold item. options will appear. delete is one of them.
The select and hold is the same as the right click on a mouse.

People I need some help over here, i get htc touch hd and very happy with it, but there is small problem, all i try to get from any one by bluetooth saving to the main memory, I manage to turn videos, music and photos to the memory card(by cut and paste, except video and pictures this i did in options of camera) but how I`ll turn everything else to card memory?

start, programs, file explorer, my Documents the will be over there next to all folders, or they will be in my pictures....
